Responsibilities:

Provides wide range of direct and complex nursing care to patients requiring advanced nursing skills. Functions as a preceptor and role model for new hires and other identified staff. Provides clinical assistance to staff nurses, practical nurses, patient care assistants and nursing interns in the execution of their responsibilities and gives clinical resource support to the charge nurse. Acts as back up charge nurse when oriented.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Completion of an emergency nursing, trauma nursing, or critical care nursing course (extra years of ER experience will be considered in lieu of a course)
• Current nursing (RN) license in Canada or the United States
• Minimum five (5) years recent clinical RN experience, including a minimum of two years of current, full-time experience in the ER, working in a mid- to large-sized trauma referral hospital in the USA or Canada
