Responsibilities:

Provides wide range of direct and complex nursing care to patients requiring advanced nursing skills. Functions as a preceptor and role model for new hires and other identified staff. Provides clinical assistance to staff nurses, practical nurses, patient care assistants and nursing interns in the execution of their responsibilities and gives clinical resource support to the charge nurse. Acts as back up charge nurse when oriented.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Specialty training in pediatrics is very strongly preferred
• Current nursing (RN) license in Canada or the United States
• Minimum five (5) years recent clinical RN experience, including a minimum of two years of current, full-time experience in pediatrics, working in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in the USA or Canada
