Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, the Clinical Dietitian Educator:

• Provides comprehensive care for the diabetic patient through individual consults and classes
• Serves as a resource for physicians and other personnel
• Organizes continuing medical education activities in diabetes mellitus and is an advocate for improvement in the quality of life for people affected by diabetes
• Participates in research studies and clinical investigations

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Dietetics of Food & Nutrition. Completion of an approved dietetic internship program
• Specialty certification in diabetic education
• Up to five years’ experience in a clinical setting. Competence in giving diabetic instructions and documentation; current expertise in pathophysiology of diabetes and related disease processes
