Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, the Director of Medical Records will direct the operation and administration of Medical Records and Patient Registration Department. The hospital is in the process of converting to an Electronic Medical Record system so they are looking for someone who has previous experience with this. The department currently consists of 90 staff.

Requirements:

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Health Records/Medical Records Administration.
• Registration (Registered Health Information Administrator [RHIA]) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or Canadian equivalent.
• Minimum of five years current Medical Records management/director level experience working in a large North American tertiary care centre.
• Current knowledge of JCI information management standards is required.
• Must have working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and computerizing patients records (CPR).
• Experience in starting up a department is preferred.
