The Radiology Department at KFSH&RC- Jeddah is one of the most complete Radiology Departments in the Western Province. It includes all major modalities in addition to a majority of the sub-specialty expertise.
The scope of service includes all diagnostic radiology subsections including GI, GU, musculoskeletal, mammography, cross-sectional, Nuclear Medicine, MRI and CT. The interventional Radiology provides the highest quality interventional practice in the Western Province and a referral center for neurointerventional cases throughout the region.
The department does a full range of radiological investigations utilizing the state-of-the-art latest generation equipment. The multislice fast CT with Leonardo 3D navigator plus the fully integrated PACS system (all Siemens equipment) comprise the perfect combination for highest quality medical care.
The CT section performs the following:
1. CT perfusion for the quantitative evaluation of Dynamic CT data of the brain following injection of contrast. The main application is in the differential diagnosis and management of acute ischemic stroke. More than 100 cases have been managed endovascularly with results parallel to the best International Center in America. The section provides stroke management from prevention to treatment including selective intra-arterial thrombolysis in acute stroke.
2. Dental CT- for reformatting panoramic and paraxial view through the upper and lower jaws. It enables to display and measure the bone structures of the upper and lower jaw, as the basis for OR planning for oral surgery.
3. Cardiac CT- specifically tailored for cardiovascular studies.
On average, approximately 6,000 examinations are performed per month in Radiology and about 700 are CT cases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of Radiology experience, including four (4) years current experience in Radiology Department management, in a large acute-care, teaching hospital in North America.
- Must hold current registration with the ARRT (USA) or CAMRT (Canada)
