The Department of Pediatrics at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is formed by 11 divisions:

  • Allergy / Immunology

  • Neonatology

  • Other Pediatric Subspecialties

Under the Unique Care division, the Pediatric Department runs a Level III, 12-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery as well an an Outpatient Evenings Clinic. 

The Pediatric Department also works in close collaboration with the Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, and Hematology and Oncology departments caring for their pediatric patients.

Requirements

  • American Boards or Canadian FRCPC in Pediatrics
  • A minimum of five years post-specialty certification experience in Pediatrics in North America, and
  • A minimum of three years of experience as the head of a Pediatrics Department
