In 2007, 25-kidney transplant has been performed at KFSHRC-Jeddah, 19 from living donors, 6 from cadaveric donors with 100% results and graft survival for 1 year.
All Living Donors had Laparoscopic Nephrectomy with excellent results, short hospital stay for the donor. 2 days on average, better cosmotic results “small incision” and early return to work and normal activity. We are the only Transplant program with this service. In 2006 to date December 2008, 21 Kidney Transplant performed. The KFSHRC- Jeddah is the only transplant program that performs laparoscopic donor nephrectomy in Saudi Arabia as a routine.

Requirements:
- Medical Degree
- American Boards or Canadian FRCSC
- A minimum of three years post-specialty certification experience in transplant surgery in North America.
