The King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is the sister hospital of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh. Opened in 2000 with only 50 beds, the King Faisal-Jeddah has grown to more than 300 beds, and in the past three years has established four Centers of Excellence: the Department of Oncology (which has become the second largest cancer referral centre in the Middle East); the Cardiovascular Department, the Department of Neurosciences, and the 14-bed ICU.

Nursing Affairs is staffed by more than 800 nurses who have been recruited from Saudi Arabia and from around the world.

The Assistant Director of Nursing will serve on the Executive Team and reports to the Chief of Nursing Affairs. S/he is responsible for planning, designing, monitoring, and evaluating patient care and is accountable for operational outcomes.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Nursing, and
• Current nursing license in Canada or the United States, and
• A minimum of eight years experience at the senior nursing administration level in a large acute-care teaching hospital in North America.
