The Central Sterile Supply Department/Medical Stores section is part of Logistic Services at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Logistic Services is also responsible for Procurement & Planning, Monitoring & Handling, ROYSPEC Services, Pharmaceutical Stores, Standardization Unit, Data & System Support, GCC Unit, and Information Unit.

The Central Sterile Supply Department/Medical Stores operates 24 hours per day between Friday and Tuesday. Wednesdays and Thursdays are covered by one on-call CSSD Technician.

CSSD Technicians work in the following areas:

• main CSSD office: shifts are 6:00am to 4:00pm / 7:00am to 5:00pm / 9:00am to 7:00pm / 11:00am to 9:00pm / 1:30pm to 11:00pm
• Level II and Level IV (Cardiac) operating rooms: shifts are 6:00am to 4:00pm / 9:00am to 7:00pm / 11:00am to 9:00pm / 1:30pm to 11:00pm
• the dental department: one person is assigned during the day and one person is assigned for half the evening

Requirements:

This position involves the centralized processing and sterilization of patient care, reusable supplies, instruments,and equipment. These items are held in storage and then distributed, along with pre-packaged, pre-sterilized supplies, using distribution cart to the various patiient care areas of the Hospital including the operating rooms.

• High School Diploma, and
• Completion of a CSSD training program.
• Current certification with IAHCSMM or CBSPD is required.
• A minimum of two years current, full-time experience as a CSSD Technician in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in North America
• Must have current case cart experience.
