The King Fahad National Center for Children’s Cancer Research in Riyadh (commonly referred to as the “Children’s Cancer Centre” or “CCC”) at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is:
- The largest dedicated pediatric cancer and blood disorders program in the Arabian Peninsula.
- The largest pediatric stem cell transplant center in the region (it performed 114 stem cell transplants in 2006 alone).
- The regional referral centre for complicated non-malignant hematological disorders.
The Children’s Cancer Centre consists of two inpatient care wards (Ward A has 16 beds and Ward B has 20 beds), an outpatient clinic, a drop-in clinic, and a four-bed pediatric oncology ICU. It receives between 350 and 450 new cases annually, and patients range in age from newborn to 13 years.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and
- Current nursing license in Canada or the United States, and
- A minimum of six years experience as a Registered Nurse, including a minimum of two years current experience as a Nurse Manager/Head Nurse in Pediatric Oncology, at a large acute-care teaching hospital in North America.
