The Physical Therapy Department at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia provides both Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy services.

Orthopedic, neurological, musculo-skeletal, oncology, cardiopulmonary, women’s health, development, and wound care patients are seen on an inpatient, outpatient, or home health care basis.

In 2006, the department received more than 43,000 patient visits, and administered more than 77,000 treatments. And it received a 96% outpatient satisfaction rating.

The whole department has about 50 employees. There are approximately 25 Physical Therapists, 2 PT supervisors, 4 senior Occupational Therapists and 1 OT supervisor on staff. The rest of the staff includes an Education Coordinator, Clinical Research PT, and support staff.

The Head of Physical Therapy is responsible to the Director of Clinical Services. Basic Function: Plan, organizes and direct the physical therapy services of the Hospital.  Develops and implements standards and procedures governing all aspects of physical therapy.

Requirements:

• Doctorate Degree or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
• Current registration in Canada or the USA

Experience:

• With PhD: minimum three years experience as a PT, including one year current administrative/management experience in a large facility.

• With Master's: minimum five years experience as a PT, including three years current administrative/management experience in a large facility.
