The King Faisal Cancer Centre (KFCC) is a newly established structure for cancer care of adult patients with a mission of providing excellent cancer treatment, education and research by means of integrated team work and the vision to become the best international centre for cancer research, prevention, and treatment. Accredited by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a Collaborating Centre for Cancer Prevention and Control, KFCC patients are assessed in multidisciplinary clinics and treated in accordance with disease specific internationally accepted management guidelines.

The Research Unit provides support for research projects and serves as a hospital base for cancer and bone marrow transplantation registries. KFCC continues to be actively involved in institutional, national, and international research protocols with priority given to those addressing national oncology problems. KFCC houses the National Cancer Registry and the Gulf Council Countries (GCC) Cancer Registry which defines population-based incidence of cancer in the Kingdom. The goal of KFCC is to establish an internationally renowned Cancer Institute to meet the ever growing needs of patients with cancer and hematological disorders.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree
  • American Boards in Internal Medicine and/or Canadian FRCPC.
  • Minimum three years post speciality certification in palliative medicine working in a large North American acute-care hospital.
