Requirements:

Supervises operations of a designated section of the Department of Pathology
and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM). Ensures that standards of quality and efficiency are maintained in accordance with policy and objectives. Liaises with Laboratory Administrator, DPLM

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology
• Current Technologist-level (e.g., MT) registration with ASCP or CSMLS
• Minimum 5 years experience or training in high complexity testing and knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute (CLSI) guidelines working in a hospital/facility in North America.
• Minimum 2 years administrative duties in microbiology including knowledge in:

            a. Budget and statistics preparation
            b. LMIP - productivity reports
            c. Quality assurance and quality improvement methods
            d. Policies and procedure updates
            e. Effective communication (both verbal and written)
            f.  Experience in conflict management in work place.
            g. Well versed in Oracle and Cerner Laboratory Information System
