UNIT DESCRIPTION:

There are 34 beds on the Adult General Surgery unit which receives the following types of patients:

  • Surgical oncology
  • Colorectal
  • Endocrine
  • Upper GI
  • Minimally invasive
  • Hepatobiliary
  • Trauma patients

Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3 (days); 1:4 (nights)

Shifts are 12-hours in length and follow the American rotation. Overtime is available.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, and
  • Current nursing (RN) license in Canada or the United States, and
  • A minimum of two years current experience as a Registered Nurse working in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in North America, of which at least one year must be gained on general surgery unit.

Due to visa restrictions, only FEMALE candidates will be considered.
