The Family Medicine Clinic at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia provides comprehensive primary care to hospital employees and their families (a population of about 20,000).
Family Medicine also operates subspecialty clinics in dermatology, obstetrics & gynecology, psychiatric medicine, pediatrics, and diabetes education. Family Medicine receives approximately 8,000 patient visits per month.
Family Medicine is staffed by 13 Family Medicine doctors, two Triage doctors, two Pediatricians, and one Head Nurse. There is only one Nurse Practitioner on staff; s/he reports to the Head Nurse and a Physician preceptor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, and
- Current nursing license in Canada or the United States, and
- A minimum of six years experience as a Registered Nurse at a large acute-care teaching hospital in North America, including a minimum of four years as a Nurse Practitioner.
OR
- Master’s degree in Nursing, and
- Current nursing license in Canada or the United States, and
- A minimum of five years experience as a Registered Nurse at a large acute-care teaching hospital in North America, including a minimum of three years as a Nurse Practitioner.
