Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Services, in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Manager will coordinate the planning and service activation activities of the Occupational Therapy section of the Rehabilitation Dept. He/she will actively participate in the recommendation, development and implementation of policies and procedures, patient care activities, and unit operations. The Occupational Therapist will participate in pre-operational recruitment, commissioning, on-boarding, orientation and service activation responsibilities for the Occupational Therapy area and work to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with project plans and timelines.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a minimum of 3 years of current management experience in a mid- to large-sized North American acute-care pediatric hospital OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy with a minimum of 5 years of current, relevant management experience in a mid- to large-sized North American acute-care pediatric hospital.
• Experience in organizing data and generating thorough, accurate, timely reports.
• Experience with clinical Information systems either as an end user, super user or build contributor.
• Certification, Licensure, or Registration in Occupational Therapy from country of origin.
• Familiarity with TJC, JCI and other accreditation organizations.
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern standards and work experience within the region is desirable.
