The Prince Salman Heart Centre at King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh has announced it has successfully employed its “Renal DeNervation” therapy with the Medtronic Symplicity Catheter System for patients with persistent hypertension. The therapy involves disabling sympathetic nerves in renal arterial walls. This is good news for the 26.1% of Saudi Arabia’s population who suffer from hypertension. –Arab News, Nov.4, 2011
