The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) is a modern, 1,000+ bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited academic medical facility located in Riyadh, the vibrant capital city of Saudi Arabia.


Assists the Head in coordination day to day departmental operations. Responsible for the quality and overall operational performance of all therapeutic and diagnostic of Respiratory Care and its services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Head of Respiratory Care Services (RCS). Assisting with resolution of daily operational problems.
  • Ensuring optimum utilization of the Department resources, such as equipment, supplies, warehouse stock items, space and personnel.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual operating budget for all assigned services/functions and monitors and keep expenditures within budget.
  • Assisting with revision and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and goals, and recommending disciplinary actions as required.
  • Managing all protocol (VIP) issues internally and externally.
  • Coordinating and participating in all Medical Outreach Programs as assigned.
  • Assisting in preparing periodic statistical productivity reports and other important reports.
  • Ensuring timely response of the RCS Internal/External Disaster Call Back Team.


  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
  • Master's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) certification with either the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a nationally registered RRT, including three years in a senior leadership position in a large, complex Respiratory Care Service in a large tertiary-care, teaching hospital in North America.
  • Must have experience in: the development of respiratory-driven protocols and revision of general clinical practice guidelines; pulmonary rehab; and polysomnography
