The Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE (CCAD) is a brand new, 364-bed, tertiary-care hospital. CCAD is an extension of the US-based Cleveland Clinic’s model.

CCAD has 12 Clinical Institutes (areas of specialty) and 30+ medical and surgical subspecialties. The hospital officially opened in May 2015.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs echo-doppler exams according to protocol
  • Teaches theory, instrumentation and interpretation to sonographers, fellows and visitors
  • Interacts with ultrasound vendors to evaluate new company products

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Ultrasound program or Allied Health specialized program in Cardiovascular Technology (of minimum two-year duration) from a North American institution required (online degrees cannot be considered)
  • Registration with Cardiovascular Credentialing International, ARDMS, CAMRT, CARDUP, or equivalent required
  • Two years of current experience as a Registered Echocardiographer or Registered Vascular Technologist in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in the USA or Canada
  • Current experience with m-mode, 2D and doppler calculations and cardiac hemodynamics required
  • Proficient in the use of PCs, spreadsheets and other software applications
