Responsibilities:

• Leads and manages shift assignments and coverage for their modality
• Leads educational and training programs for employees regarding equipment usage, new protocols, patient safety, and career development
• Leads programs for performance improvement, efficiency and productivity, employee engagement and patient experience
• Provides an advanced consultative technical resource and assists the manager in the supervision and technical development of the assigned radiology section
• Assists the diagnostics supervisor with the maintenance of all required section records and the provision of any statistical data that might be required in support of management activities
• Performs MRI imaging procedures and adjusts the system and sequences to obtain the most effective identification and presentation of anatomic structures and abnormalities
• Troubleshoots problems related to image quality and reports unresolved problems or issues to technical staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Radiography required (online programs cannot be considered)
  
• Didactic courses in MRI
  
• Current registration (e.g., ARRT, CAMRT, HCPC, etc.)
  
• Current license
  
• Minimum of four years of recent experience as a full-time Registered MRI Technologist, of which a minimum of two years of current experience must be in a formal management role in MRI (e.g., Manager MRI), in a tertiary hospital setting
