The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) is a modern, 1,000+ bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited academic medical facility located in Riyadh, the vibrant capital city of Saudi Arabia.

Two vacancies:

Care Ward A: A 20-bed unit which receives pediatric hematology and oncology patients from one month to 14 years of age. The Unit consists of twenty positive air pressure rooms. The majority of the children admitted to the center are infants, toddlers and of pre-school age, although patients are admitted up to age of 14. On rare occasions adolescents are admitted if the patient is still under the care of the pediatric hematology/oncology physician.

The most commonly treated oncology disorders include: Leukemia; Lymphoma; Hematological diseases; Non-malignant diseases; Solid tumors; Immunology

Care Ward B: A 20-bed unit which receives pediatric hematology and oncology patients from one month to 13 years of age. The majority of the children admitted to the center are infants, toddlers and of pre-school age, although patients are admitted up to age of 14. On rare occasions adolescents are admitted if the patient is still under the care of the pediatric hematology/oncology physician. Commonly treated conditions include: Osteosarcomas; Ewing’s sarcoma/PNET; Neuroblastoma; Medulloblastoma / CNS tumors; Brain tumors; Germ cell tumor; Wilm’s tumor; Rhabdomyosarcoma; Retinoblastoma Acute lymphoblastic leukemia; Acute myelogenous leukemia; Aplastic anemia; Sickle cell anemia; Langerhan’s cell histiocytosis; Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma; Hodgkin’s lymphoma; Burkitt’s lymphoma; Hematologic disorders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (please note, online BSNs cannot be accepted)
  • Current nursing (RN) license
  • A minimum of six years recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital, including a minimum of two years of current experience in a similar position managing a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit at a large, acute-care teaching hospital
