The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) is a modern, almost 1,000-bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited academic medical facility located in Riyadh, the vibrant capital city of Saudi Arabia

DMU provides services to over 15,000 patients a year of all age groups, from infancy to elderly. The Unit offers a wide variety of medical treatments and procedures which may be carried out under local or procedural sedation. DMU also accepts patients for pre and post monitoring of procedures being performed outside the Unit.


  • Antibiotic and/or medication infusion (high dose IV Methylprednisolone, Iron infusion)
  • Enzyme replacement therapy administration
  • Blood and blood products transfusion
  • Chemotherapy
  • Hydration therapy
  • Care of pediatric metabolic patients
  • Care of Vascular Access Device (VAD)
  • Heart Transplant follow up
  • High Alert Monitoring drugs like IV IGG/ATG, IV Rituximab, Tysabri, Zolair and Fingolimod
  • Cyclic TPN


  • Abdominal Paracentesis
  • Perma-Catheter/PICC Line Removal
  • Botox injection for muscle spasticity
  • Growth Hormone Testing, Insulin/Clonidine
  • Lumbar puncture
  • Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)
  • Minor dressing changes/wound care
  • Bone Marrow Biopsy
  • Pheresis

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Associate's degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma
  • Current nursing (RN) license in: Canada, the United States, the UK, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
  • Minimum two years of current experience as a RN working in DMU, ER, or surgical units in a mid- to large-sized acute-care setting in the United States, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
  • Fluency in Arabic is preferred.

Applicants must be able to relocate before the end of 2017.
