The King Faisal Specialist Hospital - Jeddah is a 470-bed tertiary specialist hospital located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It is one of the three campuses of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre and specializes in Oncology, Cardiac, Transplant, and Neurosciences.

The Unit provides tertiary level health care to female patients admitted with obstetrical and/or gynecological conditions and diagnoses and normal newborn neonates. The Obstetrics/Gynecology/Normal Newborn Nursery (OB/GYN/NNN) unit bed distribution is as follows:

  • 17 single adult rooms
  • 5 bassinettes in Normal Newborn Nursery (NNN)

The following are areas of nursing care delivery:

  • High and Low risk pregnancy
  • Antepartum
  • Post-partum
  • Well baby nursery
  • Disorders of early pregnancy
  • Infertility/ Congenital anomalies of the reproductive tract/tubal and uterine surgery
  • Benign/Malignant diseases of the uterus
  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease


  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Current nursing (RN) license in: Canada, the United States, the UK, Ireland, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
  • Must have two to four years (depending on education) of current experience in OB/Gyn in a tertiary-care hospital
  • Must have experience with high-risk antepartum and/or gyn surgery/surgical cases
