Established in 1996, the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center is a 174-bed advanced cardiac hospital, which provides high-quality, comprehensive cardiovascular healthcare services to armed forced personnel and their dependants.

The Pediatric Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 14-bed unit, which treats patients aged newborn to 12 years old following cardiac surgery.

All types of cardiac congenital and acquired anomalies are corrected, including but not limited to:

  • Ventricular Septal Defects
  • Valve Disease
  • Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome
  • Truncus Arteriousus
  • Tetralogy of Fallot

This is a very busy unit with an average of 3-4 operations per day. All patients are ventilated on admission.

The hospital can consider only FEMALE candidates at this time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing online degrees are not accepted
  • Three-year Nursing Diplomas will also be accepted online degrees are not accepted
  • Current nursing (RN) license in: Canada, the United States, the UK, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
  • Minimum three years of current experience as an RN in a pediatric cardiac surgical ICU setting in Canada, the US, the UK, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Experience in General Pediatric Surgical ICU or Neonatal ICU can also be considered.
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications
