The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) is a modern, 1,000+ bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited academic medical facility located in Riyadh, the vibrant capital city of Saudi Arabia.

The Cadiac Catheterization Lab provides procedures for both Adult and Pediatric Inpatients and Outpatients. Cardiac catheterization procedures include:

  • Invasive hemodynamic and angiographic diagnostic studies
  • Endomyocardial biopsies
  • Coronary angioplasties
  • Intracardiac and intra-coronary ultrasounds
  • Valvuloplasties
  • Valve implants
  • Placement of intravascular stents
  • Embolization of vascular structures
  • Occlusion of intracardiac defect
  • Direct emergency revascularization for acute myocardial infarction patients.


  • Completion of a two-year accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology
  • Current certification with CCI (the US), CSCT (Canada), or similar organization in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand
