Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA)

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company was launched on December 29, 2007 by Emiri Decree, and is owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi. The full name of the company is Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, but its corporate name is SEHA. "SEHA" is an English phonetic pronunciation and translation of the Arabic word for "health."

SEHA is an independent, public joint stock company created to manage and develop the public hospitals and clinics of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. SEHA manages eight hospital systems totaling 14 facilities, 2,472 licensed beds, more than 55 Primary Health Clinics, and 14,350 employees. Hospitals include the Al Mafraq Hospital (Abu Dhabi), the Al Ain Hospital (Al Ain), the Tawam Hospital (Al Ain), the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (Abu Dhabi), the Al Corniche Hospital (Abu Dhabi), and the Al Rahba Hospital (Al Rahba).

SEHA partners include Johns Hopkins Medicine, Cleveland Clinic, Bumrungrad International, New England Center for Children, Vamed, and Vienna Medical University.
