Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions, including acute and chronic neurological disorders
  
• Assess and manage neurological emergencies, including stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury and other trauma-related neurological presentations, in collaboration with Emergency Medicine, Neurosurgery and Critical Care teams.
  
• Provide specialist care across relevant neurology subspecialties, including:
  * Movement Disorders: Parkinson’s disease, tremors and dystonia
  * Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology: Demyelinating and autoimmune neurological disorders
  * Epilepsy: Seizure disorders and EEG assessment
  * Headache Medicine: Migraine and other headache disorders
  * Neuromuscular Disorders: Peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis and muscle disorders
  * Cognitive and Behavioural Neurology: Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and memory disorders
  * Stroke and Cerebrovascular Neurology: Ischaemic stroke, haemorrhagic stroke and TIA
  * Neurocritical Care: Complex neurological conditions requiring intensive care, where appropriately credentialed.
  * Paediatric Neurology: Neurological disorders in children, where within the clinician’s scope of practice.
  * Clinical Neurophysiology: Interpretation of EEG, EMG and nerve conduction studies, where qualified.
  

Requirements:

• MD Degree
• National Board Certification in Neurology from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
• Current, active medical license in: the United States, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
• Minimum three to five years of current post-certification experience working as a Consultant in Neurology in a tertiary-care hospital in the United States, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
