The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) is a modern, almost 1,000-bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited academic medical facility located in Riyadh, the vibrant capital city of Saudi Arabia


The Home Health Care Program provides, supervises, educates and supports nursing care of KFSH&RC patients in their own homes, for the promotion of their physical, psychological and social well-being. These patients are classified into:

  • Long term conditions: admitted to the program with no plans of discharging them
  • Shorter nursing care: admitted to the program with an identified patient need that is met up to 12 weeks
  • Long term care with nursing needs: patients who are hemodynamically stable and require only nursing support. These patients are admitted to the program with no plans to discharge them
  • Palliative care patients: this category of patients include both oncology and other patient populations with end stage disease requiring palliative treatment

HHC patients have health problems that could be cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, endocrine, neurological, rheumatologic, malignant, or any other medical or surgical health problem.

The patient's needs could be any of a combination of the following:

  • Pain management, wound care, tracheostomy care, gastrostomy tube care, nasogastric tube care, oxygen care, intravenous antibiotic administration, mechanical ventilation, diabetes management, dementia care, bowel management, blood draw and monitoring of laboratory results, urinary catheterization, end of life care, symptom control, palliative care, education and support etc.

Monthly Patient Visits: 800 – 900


  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Associate's degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma
  • Current nursing (RN) license in: Canada, the United States, the UK, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
  • Minimum two years of current experience as an RN in Home Health in Canada, the United States, the UK, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
  • Fluency in Arabic is preferred
