The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC) is a modern, almost 1,000-bed Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited academic medical facility located in Riyadh, the vibrant capital city of Saudi Arabia

Scope of Service:

There are 34 beds on this unit (C-2) specifically designated to Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery and Chronic Pain Service patients. C-2 provides nursing care primarily to adult and pediatric patients with malignant and/or congenitally related diseases who require complex diagnostic work-up, major complex surgery or treatment follow-up. The Unit also provides clinical rotation to Saudi Nursing Interns, Graduates and Students, as well as Medical students-interns, residents and fellows.

Types of Patients:

  • Adult/Pediatric Orthopedic, e.g., joint replacements, tumour resections, soft tissue releases, scoliosis (anterior and posterior resections), brachial plexus repair, spinal cord stimulator insertion, adult spine surgery, osteogenesis imperfecta, minimally invasive surgical procedures for adult spine, sports injuries (e.g., knee/shoulder arthroscopy)
  • Plastic Surgery, e.g., abdominoplasty/liposuction, breast augmentation/reduction/mammoplasty, pressure sore management, serial burn reconstruction, hemangioma debulking, septorhinoplasty, tissue expanders, cleft lip/palate repair, congenital defect repair (e.g., syndactyly), flaps/grafts for microvascular procedures, tendon transfer, VAC therapy for complex wounds

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (online degrees are not accepted)
  • Associate's Degrees and three-year Nursing Diplomas will also be accepted (online degrees are not accepted)
  • Current nursing (RN) license in: Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia or New Zealand
  • Minimum two years of current experience as an RN in orthopedic/plastic surgery (in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital setting).

Due to visa limitations, the positions are reserved for FEMALE candidates.
