Ensuring a Good Fit

Our website is designed to openly promote Canada, its culture, its healthcare system, individual hospitals, etc. On our website we list the name of each hospital client. Each hospital has its own page. Each job has its own job description.

In evaluating whether a specific candidate would be interested in a particular location or position, we ask many, sometimes intrusive, personal questions about:

1) Previous experience with Canada/Canadians: visits to Canada? Relatives? Colleagues?

2) Motivation for considering Canada as a place of employment/place to live: lifestyle? Compensation? Adventure?

3) The candidate's specific professional requirements for a position? For a location?

4) Compensation requirements?

5) Personal/family requirements: Does a spouse need a position? If yes, in which industry? Do children have specific educational interests or high-level training requirements in, say, piano, ballet, hockey, etc.? What does the family do for fun? Where has the family traveled?

6) We tell candidates about the extensive medical exam and security clearance required by Immigration Canada (IRCC).

7) We present, in detail, the requirements for a medical license and work permit.

8) Finally, we ask detailed questions about a candidate's work history, special skills, etc. If required (and in most cases it is) we expand on a candidate's CV. We describe the hospital at which the candidate is practicing, details of the clinical experience, teaching experience, level of management experience, etc.

We believe that a candidate's general attitude to work and life, and her/his openness to new experiences, are strong indicators of her/his ability to adapt to a new environment.
